THE ROLE
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial minded camping car & travel enthusiasts with a passion for guest services to start-up a new depot in Osaka. You’ll be the face of our Kansai operation, reporting directly to the CEO, with the goal of building a new market operation, ensuring an outstanding level of customer service, maintaining our fleet of campervans in top condition, and taking ownership of all issues that need to be managed to guarantee smooth operation of the depot.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
- Identify, plan and build end-to-end a localized service operation, growing it into a successful new market;
- Handle incoming reservations, welcoming guests, demonstrations and taking care of check-in and check-out procedures;
- Taking care of the fleet, logistics, and making sure our campervans are maintained in top condition by monitoring maintenance and handling repairing needs;
- Assist in training, supervising, and coaching your team;
- Booking activities control, manage stock, local suppliers and cleaning services;
- Handle complaints, emergencies, and any local issue that may arise to make sure operations run smoothly;
- Preparing and cleaning our campervans;
- Leading initiatives in developing, upselling & cross-selling new service offerings.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- You are a passionate and career motivated self starter who enjoys taking new challenges head-on;
- You are either a vehicle or nature travel enthusiast with experience in fields such as Vehicle Building, Mechanics/Electronics, Tourism, Hospitality, Retail or Rent-a-car being desirable;
- 2+ years of experience in a team management/lead/supervisory role;
- You’re business fluent in Japanese and English (mandatory);
- You have great communication skills and aptitude for direct contact with customers & partners;
- You’re eligible to work in Japan, have a valid driver’s licence and feel confident enough to drive a campervan (mandatory);
- You’re available to work on weekends and public holidays;
- You’re a responsible person who takes their work seriously and can be relied upon.
- You’re well-organised and you’re good at solving problems.
